Company

Be sure to keep an eye on your company’s financials, you’ll want to ensure security and growth. The income statement and balance sheet are there to help you make the best high level decisions for your firm.

Of course, you will need to take care of your employees as well. Lowering salaries or working conditions could lead to strikes and supply disruptions, perhaps you should hire on an overpaid consultant to get some solid business advice.

Objectives

Buy your mangoes in a producing territory or grow them yourself, then arrange for transportation and sell the final product in new international markets. Remember to keep an eye on market prices, too!

Choose who to buy from amongst competing producers, which markets to sell into, and even which method of transportation for those tasty goods of yours.

Banking

No company can live without a bank account.
Choose carefully your favourite financial institution and check which services they can offer to you.

You can take up loans, manage your cash and your taxes and if you grow big enough even try to go public and put a stake of the company on the market (IPO).

Global Context

Your company’s success is impacted greatly on the environment that surrounds it.

The macroeconomic and political developments of the single countries affect a number of variables which ultimately impact prices as well as public perception.

You can decide to support financially a political party and influence its popularity.

In-game Events

Unfixed events, triggered by either your decisions or external factors such as trading partners’ politics, can all show up to challenge your growing mango business.

From strikes, bad PR, to criminal trials, every move you make can impact your bottom line.

Facing the competition

The fruit industry is a competitive place! Fight to grow your market share from four other mango companies.

Work to disrupt their businesses, engage in collusion, but watch out from vicious retaliation.

Your Year-End Matters

At the beginning of each year, your performance is compared against your competitors in the marketplace.

Mango Cart can continue endlessly… just as long as you don’t run into any of the game-ending scenarios!
